Guided by the Spirit through Ordinary Time

After remembering and celebrating that the Holy Spirit has been given to us for living faithfully and fully in this world, we will spend the month of September mostly in the letter of James.

This is part of the season of Ordinary Time, the second half of the Christian year. During this time, we are called to a deeper acknowledgment of how our ordinary living is transformed by our extraordinary God's presence and work-- the very thing we spent the first half of the year thinking about in worship.  Now, we look to see what's ordinary about the stories we read and how we can relate to them, and what God extraordinarily does in them.
